The YMMSS is a multi-disciplinary social service agency under the auspices of the Methodist Church, Hong Kong. Through the Love of Jesus Christ and the commitment towards a social service laboratory spirit, our agency works consistently to innovate and provide quality services to meet emerging social needs.

Through providing a series of integrated home care services, nursing care services and rehabilitative training programmes for severely disabled persons living in the community, we help mitigate the stress experienced by their family members/carers, improve their quality of life, and provide support for them in community living;

We also provide training and support for family members/ carers in order to help improve their caregiving ability.

We provide an integrated home-based range of services that includes:

Personal care service

***A professional assessment will be carried out by our staff, and a detailed service plan based on the specific needs of each service user will be formulated.
Service Target
-
Severely disabled persons who are residing in the Yau Tsim Mong, Kowloon City, Sham Sui Po and Tseung Kwan O districts, and:

Who are on the (CRSRehab) waiting list for hostels for the severely mentally disabled; hostels for the severely physically disabled and residential care homes for the severely disabled; or
-
Who have completed the Standardized Assessment Mechanism for Residential Services for People with Disabilities, and are found to be eligible for services; or
Who are attending special schools for children with Severe Physical or Mental Disabilities; or -
And family carers of handicapped persons from any disability categories described above.

Fee
-
Service fees are based on the fee standards established by the Social Welfare Department. Under special circumstances, our agency will consider reducing part of the fees based on the assessment and recommendation of our Centre’s social worker in charge of the case.

Personal care service ($33 per hour)
Escort service ($33 per hour)
Home respite service ($33 per hour)
Rehabilitation training ($33 per hour)
Nursing care (provided by health worker) ($33 per session)*
Nursing care (provided by Nurse) ($43 per session)*
Occupational/ Physio- / Speech therapy service ($52 per session)*
*The duration of a session is 45 minutes
** Full package of services $1,002**
